Essential responsibilities

Training & Fire Drills

Training

Under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005, it’s mandatory to provide fire safety training to all staff, both on induction and periodically. Staff with delegated responsibility for implementation of the emergency arrangements should receive training commensurate with their responsibilities

With substantial practical experience and expertise to draw-on, Fireshield Scotland can offer Staff Fire Safety Awareness Training, Fire Warden Training, Fire Extinguisher Training and Evacuation Chair Training. In addition, we can provide bespoke courses that can be tailor-made to suit your requirements. All Training courses are run at your own premises at a time to suit you and your business.

Fire Drills

Fire drills for businesses are not just a legal requirement under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005, they are a vital part of testing your fire evacuation plans and therefore preparing your staff for an emergency.

Our consultants can draw-on real life experiences from their extensive fire safety operational backgrounds, to carry out realistic fire drills on your behalf. The drill will be conducted and observed, and a debrief held immediately following the drill to review the outcomes. A full report will then be produced, recording the findings of the evacuation, including recommendations for improvement.
